Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
Short version: Bybsie runs this site, not an ad network. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing creepy to consent to — the only cookies are the ones that keep you logged in. Analytics is cookieless, embeds only load when you click them, and nothing here is sold to anyone. The long version is below, kept honest and specific to what this site actually does.
Who runs this site
bybsie.com is operated by Bybsie (Tomasz), a Polish MMORPG content creator. If you have any privacy question, request or complaint, email [email protected].
Cookies we set
Only strictly-necessary cookies — the kind a site can't function without. We do not use advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
- bybsie_session — set when you log in. It holds your session token so the site knows it's you. HttpOnly, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax. Expires after 30 days (and we prune expired sessions on our side).
- oauth_* state cookies — short-lived, single-purpose cookies created only during a login redirect (Twitch / YouTube / Battle.net) to protect against request forgery. They are cleared as soon as login completes.
Analytics (cookieless)
We use counter.dev to count page views. It is privacy-friendly and cookieless: it sets no cookies, writes nothing to your browser storage, and collects no personal data — only aggregate, anonymous traffic counts so we know which pages people actually read.
It also honours Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, the analytics script is never loaded at all. You can also opt out manually on your device.
Embedded content (loads only when you click)
Some pages embed third-party players. To stop them phoning home before you ask, they are gated behind a click:
- Twitch player — on the
/livepage the stream is click-to-load. Nothing contacts Twitch until you press play. - YouTube videos — embedded through
youtube-nocookie.comand only loaded when you click a video, which suppresses YouTube's tracking cookies until then.
Once you choose to play an embed, that provider (Twitch, or YouTube/Google) receives the request and applies its own privacy policy.
Stuff stored on your device
Several tools save their state in your browser's local storage so they remember your progress between visits. This data never leaves your device — it isn't sent to us or anyone else:
- Easy Mounts — which mounts you've marked as tracked or obtained.
- Wallet — your local Lybbla credits / wallet view.
- Feedback drafts — text you've started typing in feedback forms so you don't lose it.
Clearing your browser storage for this site wipes all of it.
Connected accounts
If you sign in with Twitch, YouTube or Battle.net, we receive a limited set of details from that provider — typically your platform username and a stable user ID. We use this only to provide the features you logged in for: your account, profile, credits and community submissions. We don't use it for advertising and we don't share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data tied to your account, correct it, or delete it (erasure). If you're in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of this, just email [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
Changes to this policy
If anything material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. No surprise tracking gets bolted on quietly — that's the whole point.
Stay Bybsie. May the Kox be with you.
Stay Bybsie!
